 Meeting was turned over to Monica Widdison—District EdTech Coach

Monica talked to us about the Technology that the District provided with Web Filtering, Monitoring and Teaching.

*Web Filtering is done through the iBoss System and the set Firewalls.

Youtube is set to monitor on Safe Search and Google is also set to Safe Search when anyone is logged in with a WSD Account.

The Weber School District is 100% compliant in the State of Utah.

*Monitoring is done through BARK. Administrators get notifications as well as Parents getting a weekly notification for their student.

*Teaching is done through the devices they are using at school. 

Teaching Digital Literacy—Thoughtful and responsible use of technology to find, evaluate, utilize, share and create content. 

School Land Trust Goals

80% K-3 above reading level

80% 3-6 1 year growth in IXL

½ of the school chromebook lease will come out of this budget

TSSA Goals

We went over the Positive Behavior Plan and then set up the next meeting for March 6th @3:30 in the Library.
